ETHIOPIA  /  WEB2  /  WEB3  /  OPEN SOURCE

Building Systems.
Creating Possibilities.

I'm Dagim Abebe — a developer, founder, and community builder based in Ethiopia. I build Web3 infrastructure, Web2 products, and open-source tools.

ABOUT

More Than Just Code.

I'm Dagim Abebe, a developer and builder based in Ethiopia. My work sits at the intersection of Web2, Web3, open-source software, and emerging technology.

I enjoy turning ideas into working products, building infrastructure that developers can rely on, and contributing to communities that make technology more accessible.

I'm particularly interested in blockchain infrastructure, developer tooling, payment systems, authentication, and practical applications of decentralized technologies.

I believe in building openly, learning through implementation, and creating technology that can be useful beyond its original environment.

Modern web applications, responsive interfaces, product architecture, and full-stack development.

  4. 04

    Developer Infrastructure

Reusable libraries, developer tools, SDKs, framework design, and open-source packages.

  5. 05

    Digital Payments

Cross-border payment infrastructure, payment settlement concepts, stablecoins, and blockchain-based financial applications.

  6. 06

    Community Building

Developer education, ecosystem growth, community initiatives, technical events, and connecting builders.

FEATURED / 01·WEB3 DEVELOPER INFRASTRUCTURE

Talak-web3

The Node.js Framework for Web3 Backends.

Talak-web3 is a TypeScript-first Node.js framework for building production-oriented Web3 backends, with a focus on authentication, RPC resilience, account abstraction, and reusable developer infrastructure.

  • Server-authenticated SIWE and session lifecycle
  • Redis-backed authentication and nonce stores for production
  • Multi-provider RPC failover with health tracking
  • Account-abstraction helpers in @talak-web3/tx
  • TypeScript
  • Node.js
  • SIWE
  • Redis
  • RPC
  • Account abstraction

The name comes from Amharic, where “talak” means better. Published under the MIT license, © Dagim Abebe.

RemitStake Vaults

An exploration of blockchain-powered remittance infrastructure and programmable vaults.

Second Place — Creditcoin / Web3 Ethiopia Ideathon.

Public repositories, local demo only

  • TypeScript
  • Solidity
  • React
  • Node.js
  • PostgreSQL
  • Redis
  • Creditcoin

The README demo runs on localhost. There is no public live deployment linked from the repositories, so none is shown here.

Cardano Ecosystem Project

A Cardano ecosystem project demonstrating decentralized applications and accessible digital experiences across African languages.

Cardano Hackathon Winner.

Earlier project

  • Cardano

This is a past project, not an active one. A public repository for it was not identified, so no repository or demo link is shown.

AUTHENTICATION / SECURITY

ONT ID Secure Login Suite

An ONT ID authentication suite with challenge-response login, an anti-phishing phrase, signature preview, device binding, multi-account linking, and login history, built for ONTO Wallet. The repository includes a responsive frontend and a Node.js backend.

Public repository

  • JavaScript
  • Node.js

MILESTONES

Milestones Along the Way.

A record of work that has been recognized or shipped publicly.

Dates are omitted where they have not been verified.

  1. Cardano Hackathon

Winner. An earlier ecosystem project, not a current product.

  2. Creditcoin / Web3 Ethiopia Ideathon

Second place, for the RemitStake work.

  3. Talak-web3

Published open-source Node.js Web3 framework, MIT licensed, with public npm packages and documentation.

  4. npm packages

Talak-web3 and its scoped libraries are published on the public npm registry, including the SDK, auth, RPC, and CLI packages.

  5. ONT ID login suite

Public authentication project with challenge-response login, device binding, and a Node.js backend.

  6. Community contribution

Continued participation in Ethiopian and African Web3 developer communities.
